SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll – Data Mapping, Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate existing HR and payroll data, aligning source fields and values with the appropriate SAP ECP frameworks.

• Create, update, and document comprehensive source-to-target mapping specifications.

• Work alongside subject matter experts from legacy systems to comprehend data definitions, business rules, and historical utilization.

• Utilize expertise in SAP HCM/ECP to establish target structures, fields, values, and relationships.

• Outline transformations, value mappings, defaulting logic, and functional conversion guidelines.

• Detect data quality concerns, gaps, inconsistencies, and elements that need functional or business resolutions.

• Ensure that mapping rules correspond with approved ECP configurations and payroll designs.

• Maintain the traceability of mapping decisions, assumptions, data rulings, and unresolved issues.

• Collaborate with data conversion developers to transform functional mappings into implementable conversion logic.

• Review and verify converted data within SAP ECP throughout iterative conversion cycles.

• Conduct functional validation of employee and payroll data against mapping specifications.

• Investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.

• Assist in data reconciliation to ensure the completeness and accuracy of converted datasets.

• Collaborate with payroll functional, technical, conversion, and legacy teams to address issues.

• Facilitate data readiness for testing, payroll parallel testing, and production cutover.

• Revise mapping specifications and conversion rules as needs or issues arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience with SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

• Profound understanding of SAP HCM/ECP payroll data structures, fields, and foundational logic.

• Experience in supporting data mapping and conversion activities for SAP HCM or SAP ECP implementations.

• Ability to interpret legacy HR/payroll data and establish appropriate representation within SAP.

• Proven experience in defining data transformations, mapping rules, and conversion requirements.

• Practical experience in validating converted data and addressing data discrepancies.

• Understanding of the dependencies between employee/master data and payroll outcomes.

• US Citizens only (no dual citizenship).

• Must be eligible to acquire a Public Trust Clearance.
