SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects within the Business Systems transformation portfolio.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive SAP S/4HANA program plan, which includes scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.

• Facilitate integrated planning across various workstreams including process, technology, change management, data, and testing.

• Manage relationships with SAP implementation partners, internal teams, and functional leaders to guarantee adherence to standards and governance.

• Align business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and other areas.

• Lead the resolution of issues, identification of risks, development of mitigation strategies, and escalate to leadership when necessary.

• Ensure business readiness by working collaboratively with Organizational Change Management (OCM), training, and readiness teams.

• Organize and lead workshops with key stakeholders.

• Supervise System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance testing, and cutover validation.

• Lead the planning and execution of the cutover process for the transition to SAP S/4HANA.

• Monitor and report on program progress, KPIs, and deliverables to senior management.

• Ensure alignment with associated digital initiatives such as IBP, MES, PLM, QMS, CRM, and PPM.

• Travel for business purposes as required.

• Collaborate with Business Systems leadership, SAP partners, program and project managers, site and functional leaders, Business Process Owners (BPOs), OCM, training and readiness teams, testing teams, enterprise architecture, data teams, SAP Center of Excellence (COE), and change champions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience in delivering large-scale ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong skills in program management, including planning, governance, scheduling, and coordination.

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology and the complete S/4HANA lifecycle.

• Knowledge of SAP functional areas such as FI/CO, MM, PP, SD, QM, PM, and IBP.

• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.

• Experience working in complex and matrixed manufacturing environments.

• Proven experience in leading and developing teams within a transformation setting.

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAP Activate certification is preferred.

• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector is preferred.
