SAP Datasphere Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain data integration pipelines linking SAP source systems with SAP Datasphere.

• Construct, enhance, and oversee data models, views, replication flows, spaces, and connections within SAP Datasphere.

• Architect and execute integration frameworks connecting SAP Datasphere to cloud data warehouses, primarily Amazon Redshift.

• Develop and support ETL/ELT processes utilizing Matillion or similar platforms.

• Implement and manage real-time, batch, and CDC replication strategies using SAP technologies such as SLT and ODP.

• Convert business needs into scalable and maintainable data solutions in collaboration with architects, analysts, and stakeholders.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, data quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Define and uphold data governance, security, and access-control standards.

• Document integration architectures, technical designs, data lineage, and operational procedures.

• Remain updated on best practices for SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP, and cloud data platforms.

• Deliver secure, reliable, and scalable integration solutions across both SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

• Facilitate trusted analytics through effective data architecture and governance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders on enterprise data initiatives.

• Contribute to innovation, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, SAP analytics, or SAP data architecture roles.

• Practical experience with SAP Datasphere, including space management, data modeling, connectivity and integration, data replication, and federation.

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP BW/BW4HANA.

• Experience with ODP, SLT, and CDS Views.

• Proven expertise with Amazon Redshift.

• Strong SQL development and data modeling capabilities.

• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema, and data vault methodologies.

• Familiarity with batch processing, real-time integration, CDC, API-based integrations, and data federation.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts related to storage, compute, networking, and security, preferably within AWS.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative approach across technical and business teams.

• Matillion experience is preferred.

• SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, or SAP BTP certifications are preferred.

• Experience with SAP BTP services and integration capabilities is preferred.

• Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, and metadata management tools is preferred.

• Background in consulting, professional services, or client-facing environments is preferred.

• Knowledge of Python, scripting, or automation frameworks is preferred.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies is preferred.

• Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse Analytics is preferred.
