SAP Cloud ERP – MM, Procurement Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Cloud ERP Sourcing and Procurement and Materials Management processes.

• Evaluate Digital Discovery Assessments and establish the scope along with Fit-to-Standard workshop plans.

• Engage in and facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops, capturing requirements, process decisions, and functional gaps in SAP Cloud ALM.

• Set up comprehensive purchasing, sourcing, procurement, supplier management, goods receipt, invoice verification, and MM processes.

• Establish purchasing organization structures, manage material master data, oversee inventory management, stock transfers, and goods movements.

• Ensure seamless integration with FI/CO, PP, and WM Lines of Business.

• Collaborate with business users and supply chain teams to translate requirements into SAP Cloud ERP standard solutions.

• Identify gap-resolution strategies through configuration, key-user adaptations, or SAP BTP-based extensions while minimizing custom development.

• Direct functional testing and coordinate the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Assist with data migration and cutover processes for procurement and MM master data and open items.

• Support ERP transformation and migration initiatives.

• Manage third-party vendors, project resources, workload distribution, and consultant teams.

• Adhere to SAP Activate practices and maintain documentation in SAP Cloud ALM.

• Partner with presales architects and sales representatives on estimations and solution scoping.

• Offer post-go-live hypercare, end-user training, and ongoing process-improvement suggestions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP consultant within the Sourcing and Procurement and Materials Management (MM) Lines of Business.

• Proven hands-on experience in complete end-to-end SAP Cloud ERP implementations or migrations.

• Profound understanding of procure-to-pay processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, source assignment, contract management, supplier management, goods receipt, and invoice verification.

• Practical configuration experience with SAP Central Business Configuration for Sourcing and Procurement and MM processes.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate Methodology and participation in Fit-to-Standard workshops.

• Expertise in SAP Cloud ALM for requirements documentation, open item tracking, and test management.

• Strong understanding of the integration between Sourcing and Procurement / MM and FI/CO, PP, and WM.

• Advanced proficiency in English (C1 or C2) for professional conversations.

• Exceptional skills in workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and process documentation.

• Proficient in MS Office Applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• This is a remote role with occasional travel; up to 30% travel is anticipated.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• If located in the USA, an active work visa or work permit is necessary for hiring or contracting.

• If situated outside the USA, the ability to be contracted as an independent service provider and bill for services to the USA is required.

• An active visa permitting travel to the USA is essential.

• Preferred: SAP Certified Associate – Implementation Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Sourcing and Procurement (C_S4CPR_2508).

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related IT field.

• Preferred: Over 8 years of experience in ERP software solutions.

• Preferred: Experience assisting migrations from any ERP platform to SAP Cloud ERP.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Project Systems (PS).

• Preferred: Knowledge of SAP Ariba.

• Preferred: Residing in LATAM countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, or Central or North America.

• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Signavio Process Navigator.
