SAP Basis Administrator – Mid-Senior Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide daily administration and upkeep of SAP landscapes.

• Oversee SAP environments such as ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and other associated platforms.

• Assist with SAP system refreshes, client copies, transports, and regular Basis tasks.

• Facilitate SAP patching, kernel updates, and maintenance activities.

• Monitor system health, uptime, and performance metrics.

• Manage and support SAP monitoring and management systems.

• Set up monitoring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and notifications.

• Analyze system alerts and collaborate with technical teams to address issues.

• Conduct health checks and proactive monitoring across SAP environments.

• Aid in root cause analysis for persistent system and performance challenges.

• Provide Level 2 support for SAP Basis and platform-related matters.

• Troubleshoot incidents related to SAP applications, connectivity, performance, and infrastructure.

• Engage in incident management and change management processes.

• Develop and maintain operational documentation and support procedures.

• Track SAP application performance and system usage.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and escalate solutions for remediation.

• Create operational reports and dashboard metrics for stakeholders.

• Assist in capacity planning and availability management efforts.

• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and managed services providers.

• Support scheduled maintenance activities and system upgrades.

• Contribute to audit, compliance, and operational readiness initiatives.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for SAP operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3-5 years of technical experience in SAP.

• Practical experience in SAP Basis administration.

• Experience in supporting SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or NetWeaver environments.

• Familiarity with one or more of the following: SAP Solution Manager, Avantra (Syslink), BMC Patrol, SAP CCMS, or ProMonitor.

• Experience in monitoring enterprise SAP production environments.

• Working knowledge of SAP transports, system monitoring, and Basis operations.

• Experience in troubleshooting SAP performance and availability challenges.

• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server environments.

• SAP Basis Administration certification is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder is mandatory.
