SAP Applications Manager – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee changes and redesigns within SAP, encompassing architecture, configuration, licensing, and optimization of physical design.

• Strategically plan and implement updates and upgrade projects for SAP applications.

• Collaborate with the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud team to manage server and database environments effectively.

• Collect requirements, document modifications, and ensure timely implementation and testing processes.

• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot the SAP landscape to maintain system integrity.

• Ensure compliance with SOX and GxP regulatory standards.

• Create and maintain documentation while ensuring adherence to change control procedures.

• Manage the SAP client structure and transport paths across Development, Testing, and Quality Assurance environments.

• Enhance SAP security, including user creation, authentication, and assignment of security roles.

• Establish and track service and support metrics in alignment with SLAs and global strategies.

• Collaborate with internal resources and external support partners to optimize the SAP solution landscape.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience.

• Capability to understand client needs and translate them into products and services.

• Proficiency in decomposing complex tasks and organizing work, along with leading smaller teams.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage interruptions, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent skills in organization and prioritization.

• Competence to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Experience with middleware, integration, and web technologies related to SAP solutions, including S/4HANA, Cloud Analytics, and Cloud Integration Platform.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and HANA Security roles in a Fiori environment.

• Knowledge of SAP Financials, Inventory & Materials Management, Warehouse Management, and Supply Chain Management.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
