SAP ABAP Developer – SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing for SAP ABAP development initiatives that support Payroll.

• Create, develop, and improve custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) that facilitate SAP Payroll processes.

• Convert business area customer requirements into comprehensive technical and enterprise application design specifications.

• Collaborate with SAP HCM/Payroll Functional Consultants and client team members to evaluate alternatives and offer technical recommendations.

• Draft programming specifications, technical design documents, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for modifications and installations of enterprise applications.

• Debug, optimize performance, and troubleshoot both custom ABAP code and standard SAP payroll objects.

• Assist with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning activities.

• Lead a team, which includes mentoring and training junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical SAP ABAP development experience.

• Strong proficiency in ABAP, including OOP ABAP, BAPIs/RFCs, IDocs, user exits/enhancement framework, Smart Forms/SAPscript, and custom report/interface development.

• Experience in developing and supporting custom objects within an SAP Payroll environment.

• More than 4 years of hands-on experience in creating SAP Payroll Control Center solutions.

• Understanding of SAP Payroll/ECP technical architecture and payroll data.

• Proficiency in developing payroll validations, exception checks, and technical components related to PCC.

• ABAP development expertise in an SAP HCM/Payroll setting.

• Capability to interpret payroll functional specifications and convert them into technical solutions.

• Experience in troubleshooting technical issues related to PCC and payroll.

• A background in SAP HCM Payroll functional areas is advantageous.

• Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is a plus.

• Must be eligible to obtain a government clearance.

• US citizenship is required (no dual citizenship).

• Must possess US work authorization that does not currently or in the future necessitate visa sponsorship.
