SAP ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver SAP ABAP technical solutions tailored for North American clients, along with personalized VertexOne SAP services.

• Oversee technical resources while providing solutions for existing and future projects.

• Collaborate with functional teams, clients, and members of the North American team to collect requirements, develop solutions, and implement them.

• Investigate production-operation defects in client systems and modify ABAP objects to rectify issues.

• Partner with functional teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately developed and integrated within SAP applications.

• Modify technical objects and resolve conflicts arising from service packs, enhancement packs, or upgrade processes.

• Adhere to VertexOne development standards for future enhancements and developments.

• Create technical specifications and collaborate with functional resources for object development and testing.

• Establish unit-test scenarios, generate master data, and conduct unit, cycle, and integration testing.

• Provide estimates for development of new functionalities and enhancements.

• Lead and coordinate the efforts of a small development team when necessary.

• Foster the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience with SAP ABAP development.

• A minimum of 2 End-to-End Implementations and at least 1 Support Project.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP within an SAP ERP environment.

• Familiarity with enhancements such as BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Forms.

• Proficiency in Module Pool programming, ALV and List reports, RFC Function modules/BAPIs, interfaces, BDC, and Call Transactions.

• Practical experience with ABAP CDS views and AMDP.

• Strong understanding of S/4HANA ABAP coding standards.

• Basic functional knowledge in at least one SAP module, including FICO, PP, MM, SD, or PM.

• Capacity to work flexibly and analytically in a problem-solving context.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Formal SAP training or certifications are preferred.

• Experience with SAP-MM, SAP-FICO, SAP-PP, SAP-SD, or SAP-PM data structures and tables is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP IS-U modules such as FICA, Billing, or Device Management is advantageous.

• SAP certification in relevant functional areas is a plus.

• Experience with NetWeaver is a bonus.
