Sample Collector, Phlebotomist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Attend scheduled appointments at various locations in and around Newport and its surrounding areas.

• Deliver professional services for the collection of hair, blood, and DNA samples.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and donors as the public representative of Lextox.

• Execute the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System and assist in maintaining ISO17025 accreditation.

• Ensure that collections are performed in a safe, healthy, and low-risk environment.

• Provide truthful statements at the moment of collection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a professionally qualified Phlebotomist.

• Recent experience with various venepuncture techniques, mainly vacutainer and butterfly.

• Capability to collect samples in non-clinical environments.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Valid UK Driving Licence.

• Access to a vehicle with business insurance.

• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Phlebotomy.

• Proof of Phlebotomy competency may be necessary.

• Hepatitis B vaccination is required.

• An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.

• Experience within the NHS or Blood Service is preferred.

• Familiarity with collecting hair and DNA samples is advantageous.
