Salesforce Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategies for Salesforce security and access control.

• Set up profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and security policies.

• Oversee user access, authentication, authorization, and identity integrations.

• Create and maintain Salesforce security frameworks for applications and data.

• Review security controls and detect potential vulnerabilities or access concerns.

• Facilitate data protection, encryption, and secure data management practices.

• Perform security evaluations and audits of Salesforce configurations and solutions.

• Collaborate with Architects, Developers, and Administrators to deliver secure solutions.

• Assist with security testing, audits, compliance efforts, and remediation activities.

• Record security configurations, standards, procedures, and controls.

• Keep abreast of Salesforce security features, best practices, and platform enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in Salesforce security or enterprise application security.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce security architecture and access control mechanisms.

• Proficient in managing profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, groups, and organization-wide defaults.

• Familiarity with Salesforce authentication and identity solutions, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, and MFA.

• Understanding of data encryption, security monitoring, and secure integration practices.

• Experience in conducting security assessments and addressing security findings.

• Strong grasp of data privacy and security principles.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.

• Salesforce Identity and Access Management Architect or Sharing and Visibility Architect certification is preferred.

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, Platform Encryption, and Field Audit Trail is preferred.

• Familiarity with identity providers and enterprise IAM platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with AWS or Azure environments is preferred.

• Experience with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and audit processes is preferred.

• Background in DevSecOps and secure software development practices is preferred.

• Experience securing complex enterprise Salesforce environments is preferred.

• Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Alabama, Colorado, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia.
