This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take ownership of the Salesforce release calendar and oversee the complete release lifecycle across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
• Manage release scope, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and deployment activities across various teams.
• Facilitate release planning and readiness meetings with Development, QA, BA, Architecture, Product, and business stakeholders.
• Monitor release risks, dependencies, blockers, and key decisions.
• Communicate release freezes and deployment schedules.
• Coordinate Salesforce metadata deployments across different environments.
• Review deployment packages and verify components, dependencies, permissions, and configuration modifications.
• Oversee deployments utilizing Salesforce DevOps Center, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Change Sets, or enterprise DevOps tools.
• Coordinate validation and deployment activities while addressing deployment failures.
• Manage Salesforce environment strategy, sandbox refreshes, environment readiness, and synchronization.
• Define and implement release readiness criteria and quality gates.
• Oversee unit, integration, regression, and UAT completion prior to production deployment.
• Facilitate defect triage and production deployment readiness evaluations.
• Establish and enhance Salesforce CI/CD practices, including source control, branching, pull requests, automated validation, and deployment pipelines.
• Manage and optimize Salesforce DevOps tools while maintaining release documentation and deployment traceability.
• Uphold change management, governance, security, compliance, approvals, audit trails, and controlled production deployment processes.
• Coordinate emergency/hotfix releases.
• Act as the primary release coordinator among technical and business teams, providing status updates to leadership and clients.
• Organize war rooms or command centers during significant production releases.
• Manage production deployment activities, post-deployment smoke testing, business validation, issue resolution, rollback activities, defect tracking, and retrospectives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance deployment reliability, quality, and cycle time.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in Salesforce delivery, Salesforce release management, DevOps, or application release management.
• Strong comprehension of Salesforce development and configuration components, such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Objects and Fields, Profiles and Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, Validation Rules, Reports and Dashboards, Integrations, and Custom Metadata.
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce environments, sandbox strategies, deployment dependencies, and release lifecycles.
• Practical experience with Salesforce deployment tools and processes.
• Familiarity with Git and source-controlled development.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of testing, defect management, release governance, and change management.
• Exceptional communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer certification is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps Center is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools like Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Flosum, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar is preferred.
• Experience managing large Salesforce implementations with multiple development teams is preferred.
• Experience in Salesforce integrations and complex enterprise releases is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Industries, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud is preferred.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare, financial services, or nonprofit organizations is preferred.
• Experience managing offshore/onshore distributed teams is preferred.
