This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Engage in the entire application lifecycle, encompassing architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-performance, reusable, and dependable Apex code.
• Create and tailor Lightning Components to meet specific needs.
• Design data models and implement Salesforce objects, fields, and relationships effectively.
• Optimize Salesforce applications by enhancing performance through code optimization, modular development, lazy loading, query optimization, caching, and asynchronous workflows.
• Contribute to analysis of options, proof-of-concept implementations, and validation of solutions.
• Recognize risks, manage changes, and design efficient, scalable cloud solutions.
• Collect technical requirements and translate user stories and dependencies for the technical delivery team.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on product, front-end, and back-end specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on the Salesforce platform for users.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
• Document development processes and technical designs meticulously.
• Review Salesforce trends, releases, features, and product roadmaps; ensure compatibility with upcoming releases.
• Establish and uphold Salesforce coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
• Lead cross-team collaboration and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Advocate for an automation-first methodology utilizing Apex scripts, Robotic Process Automation, and related tools.
• Independently solve problems while keeping abreast of technological advancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 5 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and perform work within the US.
• Must have lived in the US for 3 full years out of the last 5 years.
• Experience with web programming technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in Lightning Web Components, Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Visualforce, and SOQL.
• Familiarity with Copado CI/CD pipelines and adherence to Copado best practices.
• Experience in building REST APIs for integration with external systems.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and Salesforce data modeling best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile and SAFe team environment.
• Understanding of Security, DevSecOps, and Agile principles.
• Competence in developing Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
• Experience with a call center configuration within Salesforce.
• Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating in multi-team development settings.
• An active Trailblazer account is required.
• Preferred: one or more Salesforce developer certifications, such as Developer I, Developer II, Platform App Builder.
• Copado Fundamentals I and II certifications are considered a plus.
• Experience in multi-cloud architectures and AWS cloud development is advantageous.
• Experience in civic technology and government contracting is beneficial.
• Experience in Health Cloud implementation and development is a plus.
