This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications and integrations through the stages of requirements gathering, design, construction, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
β’ Create robust event-driven integrations that effectively manage duplicate and late events, recover from failures, and offer diagnostic support.
β’ Develop and sustain inbound REST APIs and outbound callouts to external systems.
β’ Enhance and sustain Apex, LWC, and Flow solutions; automate processes and transition logic to Apex when scalability, control, or testing necessitate it.
β’ Construct bulkified Apex that adheres to governor limits, manages record locks, and respects asynchronous job limits.
β’ Safeguard personal and health information through appropriate sharing practices, object and field access control, least privilege principles, explicit execution contexts, and secure logging mechanisms.
β’ Create integrations utilizing Named and External Credentials, OAuth 2.0, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Apex REST, ensuring retries, idempotency, and handling of partial failures.
β’ Develop behavioral and failure-case tests, utilize mocks, address findings from static analysis, and review code contributions from peers, contractors, and AI tools.
β’ Deploy using Git-based CI/CD; oversee sandboxes, manage destructive changes, prepare rollback plans, and synchronize Git with production during Salesforce releases.
β’ Address production issues, debug across integration boundaries, and resolve root causes effectively.
β’ Work collaboratively with Salesforce Administrators, business analysts, data engineers, and product engineering teams within the Enterprise Systems team.
β’ Generally, a minimum of 5 years of Salesforce development experience is required, rather than solely administrative and configuration tasks, or equivalent proof of delivering and supporting production systems.
β’ Proficient in Apex, SOQL, bulk processing, asynchronous processing, and automated testing methodologies.
β’ Demonstrated experience in building REST or event-driven integrations that manage duplicate messages, retries, and partial failures.
β’ Competency in constructing and debugging Flow and LWC (modern JavaScript, ES6+) solutions, with the ability to articulate when Apex is more suitable.
β’ Familiarity with Salesforce data models, sharing practices, object and field access, Salesforce CLI, Git, and automated deployment processes.
β’ Capability to investigate production failures, review code, and communicate technical decisions effectively to business teams.
β’ Proficient in utilizing the teamβs AI coding tools and verifying their outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
β’ Experience with trigger frameworks and layered Apex design, dependency injection, and mocking libraries (preferred).
β’ Background in integrating Salesforce with customer data platforms, contact-center systems, marketing tools, or identity providers (preferred).
β’ Experience in the insurance or financial services industry, particularly related to agent or partner distribution (preferred).
β’ Knowledge of consent and privacy compliance, including TCPA and CCPA (preferred).
β’ Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (preferred).
β’ A bonus, equity, or additional benefits are provided alongside the base salary (specific details on benefits can be found on Ethos's US benefits page).
