Salesforce Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive Salesforce architecture encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the Salesforce Platform.

• Develop a long-term strategy for Salesforce architecture, including platform roadmap and technical standards.

• Assess business needs and determine the use of native Salesforce features, configuration, automation, custom development, or third-party solutions.

• Design adaptable data models and automated workflows for intricate, high-volume, document-centric processes.

• Establish integration frameworks between Salesforce and enterprise applications utilizing APIs, middleware, and event-driven solutions.

• Facilitate technical design sessions and oversee architectural decisions for custom object modeling, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, APIs, and third-party integrations.

• Set and enforce governance for platform architecture, security protocols, code reviews, testing, release management, documentation, and deployment standards.

• Monitor platform performance, capacity, health, and Salesforce limits.

• Identify opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and overall user experience.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data teams.

• Assess new Salesforce functionalities and address technical debt along with legacy customizations.

• Mentor technical teams on architectural principles, development best practices, and platform standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 6–10 years of experience with Salesforce, including a minimum of 3 years in an architectural role focused on cloud development.

• Strongly preferred: Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect certification.

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certification is an advantage.

• Proven experience in architecting solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the Salesforce Platform.

• Background in designing scalable Salesforce integrations with enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and related technologies.

• Experience in establishing standards for Salesforce development, testing, deployment, release management, and platform governance using Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, or Salesforce DX.

• Familiarity with designing data-intensive and document-centric workflows that involve automated document generation, optical character recognition, electronic signatures, storage, and secure information sharing.

• Experience in evaluating technical debt, modernizing legacy solutions, and creating secure, maintainable architecture.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments while collaborating with product owners, business analysts, developers, administrators, and enterprise technology teams.

• Advanced understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, platform limits, security and sharing models, identity and access management, multi-org environments, and integration patterns.

• Strong practical knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Salesforce Flow, Agentforce, Einstein AI, and Salesforce APIs, including REST and SOAP services.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to convey complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time.
