Salesforce Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture and execution of the migration to Revenue Cloud, which encompasses the design of the target-state revenue process, product and pricing model, data migration, and a phased implementation plan.

• Manage the multi-year Salesforce platform roadmap and align platform investments with business outcomes.

• Make informed decisions regarding build-versus-buy and build-versus-configure options and defend these recommendations.

• Assess and choose AppExchange solutions and implementation partners.

• Oversee integrations and data architecture, including integration patterns, middleware strategy, master data management, and data governance.

• Guide the architectural onboarding of acquisitions and new business units onto the platform.

• Establish and uphold architectural standards, design patterns, and governance protocols.

• Act as the design authority for major changes and maintain a prioritized technical debt backlog.

• Manage release and DevOps strategy, covering source control, environments, sandboxes, and deployment pipelines.

• Convert Salesforce releases, retiring features, and licensing modifications into actionable business plans.

• Collaborate with Information Security on platform security architecture, access models, audits, and compliance matters.

• Lead, develop, and retain a team of administrators.

• Supervise direct reports through regular one-on-ones, goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning.

• Ensure consistent platform operation, encompassing incident response, integration failure triage, monitoring of Flow and scheduled jobs, as well as management of certificates, credentials, and Connected App lifecycle.

• Define team workflows, including intake, prioritization, estimation, documentation, peer reviews, and criteria for completion.

• Manage capacity planning and prioritization across various departments.

• Mentor the team through design reviews and collaborative work.

• Maintain relationships with implementation partners, contractors, and Salesforce account and support teams.

• Represent the Salesforce team to executive stakeholders, articulating the roadmap, progress, risks, and resource requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of experience on the Salesforce platform, including roles in architecture or lead solution design.

• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, managing direct reports or similar responsibilities.

• Experience with integrating acquired companies or new business units into an existing Salesforce instance.

• Practical experience with Salesforce CPQ internals (such as amendment and renewal logic, subscription pricing, and the quote-to-order data model) as well as with Revenue Cloud (RLM / Revenue Cloud Advanced).

• Demonstrated capability in architecting and administering complex Salesforce environments with multiple integrations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from end users to executives.

• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials, or evidence of progress toward achieving them (preferred).

• Experience leading a migration or replatforming of an existing quoting, pricing, or revenue system (preferred).
