This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Serve as a representative for Purina Animal Nutrition products to dealers and cooperatives in the Texas Hill Country.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with dealers and cooperatives.
• Propel the growth of Purina products at both the dealer level and at the farm gate.
• Enhance distribution channels within the designated market.
• Strengthen existing relationships while proactively seeking new sales opportunities.
• Advocate for Animal Nutrition products within the market.
• Comprehend customer and market requirements and convey how the product portfolio meets those needs.
• Increase share-of-wallet growth by ensuring dealers and cooperatives maintain appropriate products and inventory levels.
• Identify and pursue new business ventures within the assigned region.
• Conduct sales calls ranging from routine follow-ups to more complex sales scenarios.
• Qualify, pursue, and independently close new opportunities as necessary.
• Establish and sustain relationships with assigned accounts and territories.
• Address customer requirements, propose solutions, and guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Utilize Salesforce to oversee customer interactions, track sales activities, and keep accurate records.
• Employ Power BI and analytics tools to support sales functions and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Analyze sales data and customer information to guide decisions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer operations teams.
• Engage in team meetings to share customer insights and sales progress.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing sales skills and product knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a related field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 2–4 years of pertinent sales or related experience.
• Strong understanding of animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective sales presentations.
• Capability to analyze sales data and customer information to aid decision-making.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts and priorities.
• Ability to devise plans and objectives to efficiently and effectively complete tasks.
• General management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Skill in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 10–15% of the time.
• Daily travel within the territory (90%).
• Proficiency in using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Proficiency in utilizing reporting and analytics tools like Power BI.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts including revenue, costs, pricing, profit and loss, and ROI.
