This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Zambia.
• Promote and market Yara's plant nutrition products to distributors, agro-dealers, cooperatives, as well as smallholder and emerging farmers.
• Support smallholder agricultural operations in the Lusaka and Central regions of Zambia.
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Meet sales targets established by the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager.
• Oversee sales, business development, and project coordination.
• Implement product stewardship principles.
• Manage customer relationships effectively.
• Conduct marketing initiatives and market research.
• Organize and engage in field activities and events.
• Process customer orders efficiently.
• Maintain accurate reporting and records.
• Manage stock levels.
• Embrace health, safety, quality assurance, and HESQ principles.
• Provide solutions to daily challenges faced by the Small Holder department in collaboration with the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager – Zambia Cluster.
• Contribute to financial objectives and achieve key performance indicators.
• Bachelor's degree in General Agriculture.
• Membership in the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ).
• At least 2 years of successful experience in a comparable role.
• Familiarity with the dynamics of the Zambian smallholder farming sector, including market trends and competitive landscape.
• Understanding of the Zambian agricultural regulatory framework.
• Knowledge of fertilizer and crop nutrition products and their respective markets.
• Expertise in sales processes specific to the smallholder farming industry.
• Proficiency in SAP processes.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Computer literacy, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Nyanja, Bemba, Lenje, and Tonga is an additional advantage.
• Insight into the agricultural sector, especially concerning smallholder farming.
• Understanding of economic yield goal settings related to crop input budgets.
• Knowledge of sales contractual agreements.
• Capability to establish professional and effective relationships with a diverse range of customers.
• Strong communication skills to convey instructions clearly for precise execution.
