This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Enhance sales and expand the market presence of Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants’ brand portfolio.
• Establish and nurture relationships with retail outlets and dining establishments within the designated territory.
• Propel portfolio sales and surpass quarterly and annual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Boost distribution within the territory while concentrating on key brands.
• Optimize brand sales through strategic fridge and shelf placements in leading retail stores.
• Coordinate trade days for supplier and manager engagements.
• Present quarterly programming and collaborate with retail chain store managers to implement initiatives.
• Maintain and expand relationships with restaurants through proactive cold calling.
• Recognize opportunities for cocktail features and by-the-glass offerings.
• Aid licensee accounts in beverage menu planning and development.
• Support accounts in sourcing AWSM products from retail locations.
• Conduct product education sessions, tastings, events, and winemaker dinners for buyers, FOB managers, and sommeliers.
• Document and manage daily activities and account information within the CHG XRM system.
• Optimize available budgets and manage expenses according to company policies.
• Develop six-week route plans for effective territory coverage.
• Engage in trade shows, supplier dinners, and relevant events.
• Travel frequently throughout Saskatchewan, including occasional overnight trips and weekends.
• Report directly to the Sales Manager for MB/SK.
• Completion of at least WSET Level 2.
• Experience in the wine sector of the restaurant or retail industry.
• A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience is required.
• A college or university degree in business, sales, or marketing is preferred.
• Familiarity with the liquor sales industry is advantageous.
• Successful completion of wine and spirit courses is a plus (e.g., WSET, Italian Wine Scholar).
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying over 50 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary and must be maintained.
• Must satisfy the company’s automobile insurance criteria.
• A valid passport is required and must be kept current.
• Serving It Right certification is mandatory.
• Candidates must reside within the Saskatoon/Regina area.
• Comfortable with highway travel in all seasons and capable of undertaking 2- or 3-day road trips as necessary.
• Strong cold-calling skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Proficient presenting skills, adaptable to various audiences, are necessary.
