This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Sell, order, merchandise, and manage George DeLallo Company products along a designated route for existing accounts within a specific geographic area.
• Acquire new accounts.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and serve as a company expert in the field.
• Cultivate and sustain business relationships to enhance sales with both new and existing customers.
• Introduce new items, shippers, surveys, off-shelf displays, cutting and sampling, promotions, advertisements, and cross-merchandising concepts to boost sales.
• Sell, order, stock, and merchandise products in accordance with company policies while preserving sales profit margins.
• Coordinate sales and deliveries with customer receiving schedules and company transportation timelines.
• Conduct store shelf maintenance, including credits, tags, TPR pricing, product and shelf condition, rotation, plan-o-grams, product blocking, and point-of-sale materials.
• Observe competitor activity, pricing strategies, tactics, and parity margins; relay this information to the Local Sales Manager.
• Implement new business strategies, including prospecting and following up on leads for both new and existing customers.
• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in retail food (grocery) sales.
• Proven capability to surpass sales objectives.
• At least an Associate's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, both in person and electronically.
• Competence in performing basic math calculations.
• Fundamental knowledge and use of Microsoft products.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend, and follow instructions, as well as solve problems.
• Capability to adapt to varying personalities encountered in the workplace.
• Must possess a reliable vehicle and provide proof of current vehicle insurance.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
