This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Deliver technical sales assistance to Field Sales, Call Center, and Business Customer Care teams
• Facilitate customer discovery calls to uncover business needs, technical specifications, current challenges, and growth strategies
• Suggest appropriately-sized solutions tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises
• Offer technical advice to business owners, operators, and sales personnel throughout the sales journey
• Perform live and remote product presentations and demonstrations
• Convert technical features into understandable customer advantages and practical business outcomes
• Develop technical configurations and solution proposals for sales quotes
• Create customer use cases illustrating how Sparklight products address business challenges
• Educate sales and customer care teams on product functionality, positioning, discovery, and new offerings
• Produce sales enablement materials, technical documentation, and additional resources
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Care, Operations, and Project Management teams
• Identify further sales opportunities based on customer needs, operational requirements, and solution gaps
• Monitor recurring product or customer issues and escalate significant concerns
• Keep up-to-date with Sparklight products, industry trends, and technologies relevant to small and medium-sized businesses
• Minimum of three years of experience in technical sales, telecommunications, networking, information technology, or customer-facing technical support
• Proficient in business connectivity and telephony, Wi-Fi technology and design strategies, and implementation
• Familiarity with business networking, managed services, cybersecurity, SD-WAN, IP addressing, and fixed or mobile 5G/LTE connectivity
• Previous experience supporting or consulting with small and medium-sized businesses is preferred
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
• Capability to obtain relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Meraki certifications, or similar credentials
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Competence in creating technical documentation, basic solution diagrams, training materials, and customer-facing presentations
• Strong presentation, communication, and public-speaking abilities, including product demonstrations and technical training
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to customers and associates with varying levels of technical expertise
• Capability to evaluate customer needs, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose practical solutions
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple sales-support requests and priorities
• Creative thinking and flexibility in a dynamic sales and customer service setting
