This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Engage with OEMs and clients to gain insights into electrical systems, applications, challenges, and future needs.

• Address application and system-level issues while creating practical, customer-oriented solutions.

• Showcase Egis products, capabilities, and value propositions to clients and engineering teams.

• Establish trustworthy relationships with customers, distributors, installers, and industry collaborators.

• Assist customer projects from initial concept through to production implementation.

• Take part in customer meetings, trade shows, distributor events, and other commercial initiatives.

• Assess customer electrical architectures and propose technically sound solutions using Egis products.

• Provide support for circuit protection, switching, power distribution, charging systems, and related electrical applications.

• Interpret, develop, and adjust electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

• Design and update high-level electrical schematics and system concepts using CAD software.

• Analyze unfamiliar electrical system challenges and craft practical solutions.

• Aid in product specification activities throughout customer development programs.

• Formulate product configurations and bills of material.

• Generate customer quotations based on established pricing and commercial guidelines.

• Assist customers during evaluation, specification, purchasing, and implementation phases.

• Support commercial discussions and opportunity management.

• Maintain precise customer, project, and opportunity information within company systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate customer responses.

• Deliver technical product and application training to OEM customers, distributors, and manufacturers' representatives.

• Function as a technical resource for customers assessing electrical system solutions.

• Aid in troubleshooting and resolving technical application challenges.

• Cultivate and sustain expertise in emerging marine and mobile electrical technologies.

• Relay customer feedback and technical requirements to internal stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive practical knowledge of marine and mobile DC electrical systems.

• Familiarity with battery systems, circuit protection, relays, contactors, switching, power distribution, charging systems, grounding, conductor sizing, voltage drop, and associated electrical principles.

• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, developing, and modifying electrical schematics and system-level drawings.

• Experience with CAD software for creating and modifying technical drawings and schematics.

• Proven ability to evaluate unfamiliar electrical system challenges and develop effective solutions.

• Strong technical aptitude and capacity to quickly grasp new products, technologies, and applications.

• Effective communication skills with engineers, technical personnel, and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer engagement skills.

• Capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Willingness to travel approximately 20% as needed.

• Access to a professional home-office setup and reliable internet connectivity.

• Direct experience with marine electrical systems, boatbuilding, marine equipment, or electrical system design and installation is preferred.

• Hands-on experience in designing, installing, troubleshooting, or modifying DC electrical systems is preferred.

• Experience collaborating directly with boatbuilders, vehicle manufacturers, or other OEMs is preferred.

• ABYC training or certification is preferred.

• Experience in applications engineering, field engineering, technical sales, product management, or business development is preferred.

• Familiarity with manufacturers' representatives and technical sales organizations is preferred.

• Knowledge of NMEA 2000, CAN-based systems, digital switching, lithium battery systems, and related technologies is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
