This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and business direction for a minimum of three Region Managers within the Foodservice Distributor channel.
• Achieve zone-level sales, profit, and growth targets by aligning Region Managers, Business Development Managers, brokers, and distributor partners with the annual operating plan.
• Oversee the cross-functional execution of customer strategies, distributor priorities, broker performance, new business development, and initiatives across various geographic regions.
• Convert the operating plan into zone-specific priorities, goals, account strategies, and measurable execution plans.
• Take ownership of sales, profit, new business, and strategic growth objectives while monitoring progress against budgetary goals.
• Conduct regular business reviews assessing distributor performance, broker execution, pipeline health, customer opportunities, and risk management.
• Cultivate senior-level relationships with foodservice distributors, regional brokers, chain accounts, and operator partners.
• Guide distributor planning, regional chain development, operator engagement, segment focus, and priority account execution.
• Assist corporate distributor product approvals and local market rollouts.
• Ensure effective management of broker relationships, market coverage, food shows, product demonstrations, and follow-up activities.
• Identify, pursue, and secure profitable new business ventures.
• Review target accounts, segment plans, and opportunity pipelines with Region Managers and Business Development Managers.
• Lead the escalation and resolution of customer, distributor, and product issues in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Facilitate communication with Marketing, R&D, Culinary, Purchasing, Cost Accounting, Operations, and Customer Service.
• Provide field insights, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop talent through coaching, ride-alongs, performance feedback, succession planning, and individual development plans.
• Ensure timely reporting, forecasting, administrative documentation, and performance tracking.
• Participate in and assist in leading foodservice sales meetings, planning sessions, and strategic distributor reviews.
• Directly supervise, mentor, coach, and conduct performance evaluations for at least three Region Managers.
• A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Culinary or Sales-related accreditation is a plus.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• A minimum of 8–12 years of experience in Foodservice Sales, Distributor Management, Sales Leadership, or related commercial roles is necessary.
• Prior experience leading sales managers, multi-market teams, or geographically dispersed associates is required.
• Proven success in delivering sales growth, profitability, new business development, and execution through others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster interdepartmental relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to work effectively with a diverse range of associates and customers from entry-level to executive positions.
• Ability to collaborate with Cost Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, R&D, Culinary, Quality Assurance, and Information Services departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Strong coaching, talent development, performance management, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze business performance, pinpoint market opportunities, and translate strategic direction into field execution.
• Ability to prioritize projects and communicate direction effectively.
• Must reside in a key market within the geographic zone.
• Significant travel is required, up to 60–70%, primarily within the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and criminal background checks.
