This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, prospecting, and qualification of leads via high-volume calls and emails to establish a pipeline for Account Executives.
• Initiate outbound prospecting through strategic email sequences and targeted daily phone outreach to decision-makers in schools.
• Identify and assess district requirements through consultative discussions.
• Convert high-potential leads into qualified opportunities for the Strategic Sales team.
• Collaborate with a dedicated Account Executive to synchronize territory strategy, organize outreach, and schedule introductory meetings.
• Work together with the Sales organization to enhance sales strategies and processes.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for prospects, representing Newsela and its educational technology solutions.
• Review calls with the SDR team, exchange best practices, and refine talk tracks and personalized email outreach strategies.
• Leverage data insights and maintain CRM data integrity to monitor cadences, prioritize active leads, and oversee the pipeline.
• A minimum of 3 years in K-12 education OR at least 1 year of inside sales experience, demonstrating a successful history of engaging prospects to secure qualified meetings.
• Competence in researching regions, acting as a territory expert, tracking account activities, and managing numerous school accounts across assigned states.
• Intellectual curiosity and flexibility; readiness to seek feedback, master Newsela’s complete product suite, and refine approaches on a daily basis.
• Strong intrinsic motivation, excellent time management and organizational skills, with proactive handling of daily responsibilities.
• Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or Outreach.io.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to empathize with K-12 buyers, translating insights into compelling value propositions.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment and employ creativity when collaborating with team members.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
