This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.
• Propel new business expansion by recognizing, prospecting, and converting zero-billing and competitive accounts within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement strategic territory plans utilizing market intelligence, customer insights, and data analytics.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation, closing, and account transition.
• Keep precise sales pipelines, account plans, and revenue forecasts updated using CRM and business intelligence tools.
• Work collaboratively with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services.
• Establish connections with healthcare professionals, administrators, distributors, and key decision-makers.
• Articulate Abbott’s value proposition and ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Meet annual new business goals across Abbott's infectious disease and point-of-care diagnostic product lines.
• Explore untapped accounts and enhance Abbott’s presence in the infectious disease diagnostics sector.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 4 years of proven success in relevant sales experience.
• Demonstrated success with competitive conversions, from lead generation to closing deals.
• Proven experience as an individual contributor, including problem-solving, complex sales, planning, and execution.
• Availability to travel within the assigned territory 4 days a week, with up to approximately 50% overnight travel.
• Experience in medical sales, preferably in diagnostics.
• Familiarity with laboratory and point-of-care environments, health system operations, and health economics.
• Experience collaborating with distribution partners.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze healthcare market data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with documented success in a team selling environment.
• Proficient negotiator with a strong history of securing agreements that align with organizational objectives and customer priorities.
