Sales Development Manager – Point of Care Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Drive business expansion by identifying, prospecting, and converting zero-billing and competitive accounts within the designated territory.

• Formulate and implement strategic territory plans utilizing market intelligence, customer insights, and data analytics.

• Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation, closing, and successful account transition.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of sales pipelines, account plans, and revenue forecasts utilizing CRM and business intelligence tools.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services teams.

• Establish relationships with healthcare professionals, administrators, distributors, and key decision-makers.

• Articulate Abbott’s value proposition while ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.

• Meet annual new business objectives across Abbott’s point-of-care and infectious-disease diagnostic product lines.

• Penetrate previously untapped accounts and broaden Abbott’s presence in the infectious-disease diagnostics sector.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum of 4 years of proven sales experience relevant to the role.

• History of success with competitive conversions, from lead generation to closure.

• Demonstrated individual contributor skills, including problem-solving, complex selling, planning, and execution.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory 4 days a week, with up to approximately 50% overnight travel required.

• Experience in medical sales, preferably within diagnostics.

• Knowledge of laboratory and point-of-care environments, health system operations, and health economics.

• Experience collaborating with distribution partners.

• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze healthcare market data.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record in a team selling environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the organization.

• Skilled negotiator with a successful history of securing agreements that align with organizational goals and customer needs.
