This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Drive business expansion by identifying, prospecting, and converting zero-billing and competitive accounts within the designated territory.
• Create and implement strategic territory plans utilizing market intelligence, customer insights, and data analytics.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation, closing, and account transition.
• Maintain precise sales pipelines, account plans, and revenue forecasts using CRM and business intelligence tools.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services teams.
• Establish relationships with healthcare professionals, administrators, distributors, and key decision-makers.
• Articulate Abbott’s value proposition while ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Meet annual new business objectives across Abbott's infectious disease diagnostic product lines.
• Concentrate exclusively on new business development rather than managing existing accounts.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Over 4 years of demonstrated success in relevant sales experience.
• Proven track record of success in competitive conversions, from lead generation to closing deals.
• Demonstrated experience as an individual contributor, including problem-solving, complex selling, planning, and execution.
• Candidate must reside within the territory.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory 4 days a week, including up to approximately 50% overnight travel.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Preferred: Experience in medical sales, particularly in diagnostics.
• Preferred: Knowledge of laboratory and point-of-care environments, health system operations, and health economics.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with distribution partners.
• Preferred: Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze healthcare market data.
• Preferred: Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of success in team selling.
• Preferred: Skilled negotiator with a strong history of securing agreements.
