This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with and learn from Benjamin Moore’s Field Sales team and clients during the initial 10–12 weeks.
• Acquire knowledge about all facets of the paint and coatings industry alongside professionals from R&D, Marketing, Sales Operations, Manufacturing & Distribution, Color and Design, and retail.
• Attend both internal and external training sessions focused on products and sales.
• Participate in market-wide selling activities and professional networking events.
• Apply paints and coatings to various surfaces, diagnosing and troubleshooting product performance challenges.
• Act as a Benjamin Moore Brand Ambassador.
• Gradually take on the responsibilities of a Territory Representative following onboarding.
• Assist Territory Representatives in achieving sales targets by reaching out to lower-volume clients.
• Cover assigned territories during vacation periods and both short- and long-term absences.
• Manage temporarily assigned territories, including scheduling, organization, and CRM/enterprise systems.
• Drive sales, enhance profitability, and finalize sales opportunities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through a consultative, customer-focused approach.
• Develop technical knowledge, business acumen, and customer relationships, becoming a trusted expert.
• Foster new business opportunities in collaboration with experienced Territory Representatives.
• Support architectural and industrial product training, participate in sales blitzes, promotional campaigns, and other assigned tasks.
• Must be willing and able to relocate within a designated region and to the assigned territory after completing the Sales Associate program, typically within 8–12 months of hire.
• Availability for up to 80% travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• A four-year college degree is preferred, or a combination of four years of college education and customer-facing work experience.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication abilities.
• Strong relationship management and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, confident, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• A self-starter, dedicated to tasks, and capable of working independently.
• Proven passion for serving customers and delivering solutions.
• Comfortable speaking in front of small to medium-sized audiences in a professional environment.
• Eagerness to develop sales skills and expand product knowledge.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn Microsoft Dynamics CRM proficiently.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to building a career path.
