Sales and Purchasing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Place and monitor customer orders once payment has been received and verified.

• Collaborate with vendors while fostering positive and professional relationships.

• Process vendor payments and keep precise records of orders and billing.

• Track orders that are outstanding and those pending payment.

• Inform internal teams about the status of orders, any delays, and related issues.

• Investigate and assist in resolving discrepancies related to orders, payments, vendors, and billing.

• Manage monthly billing activities using Acumatica.

• Prepare and dispatch accurate invoices to customers.

• Calculate monthly commissions for Sage partners and maintain the necessary documentation.

• Input accounts payable transactions with accuracy and punctuality.

• Support the Accounting team during month-end closing processes.

• Aid in reconciling discrepancies in purchasing, billing, and payments.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Renewals, Customer Account Management, and Accounting teams.

• Address internal inquiries related to orders, billing, purchasing, and payment statuses.

• Keep precise records to facilitate efficient processing and financial reporting.

• Identify potential delays or issues and communicate them in a timely manner.

• Assist in implementing process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in purchasing, billing, sales operations, AP/AR, order management, or a similar function.

• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems; experience with Acumatica is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

• Strong mathematical abilities and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to handle multiple transactions and meet deadlines simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
