This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create a sales strategy and pipeline to market professional services provided by Veregy and its subsidiaries.
• Meet or exceed a specified sales revenue target each year.
• Develop and manage market strategies aimed at securing and finalizing new business opportunities.
• Perform competitive analysis along with vertical-market and horizontal-business-development strategies.
• Generate a pipeline that meets or surpasses established sales revenue goals for each fiscal year.
• Evaluate specific clients and project opportunities within fluctuating market conditions.
• Operate independently as well as collaborate with the sales team to secure new project opportunities.
• Communicate client-focused messaging regarding the client's business, Veregy’s value proposition, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure that planning, presentations, and sales deliverables adhere to timelines and requirements.
• Utilize the Salesforce CRM platform and other tools for tracking and documenting sales opportunities.
• Serve as the client's primary point of contact from the initial sales cycle through project completion and manage necessary transitions.
• Assist customers with project-related, financing, and contracting issues.
• Prepare presentations, accurate estimates, quality proposals, and fee estimates with support from the technical and marketing teams.
• Participate in market organizations and conferences to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities.
• Travel to meet clients or potential clients and engage in networking through dinners and outings.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Currently, there are no supervisory duties associated with this position.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in all responsibilities and duties associated with an account manager.
• Documented history of achieving a minimum of $10M in annual sales.
• Understanding of facility systems, large project sales processes, and funding alternatives.
• Capability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, and estimates.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate technical products.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the technical products to be sold.
• Strong sales and customer service abilities, complemented by effective negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven track record of maintaining and nurturing client relationships.
• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries from clients.
• Knowledge and experience in the ESCO industry (Energy Services).
• Background in the Educational market (K-12 & Higher) and Municipal sectors.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and/or related software.
• Expected to travel locally (up to 50%) by car and some national travel by airplane.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
