This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Create and take ownership of market strategies aimed at securing and finalizing new business opportunities.
• Perform competitive analysis along with vertical-market and horizontal-business-development strategies.
• Build and oversee a sales pipeline that meets or surpasses annual sales revenue targets.
• Evaluate potential clients and project opportunities in response to evolving market conditions.
• Independently secure new project opportunities while also collaborating with the sales team.
• Convey client-focused messaging about clients’ businesses, Veregy’s value proposition, and deliverables.
• Work together with internal and external resources to meet planning, presentation, and sales-delivery deadlines and requirements.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM and other tools to track and document sales opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from the initial sales cycle through to handoff.
• Assist customers with project, financing, and contracting matters.
• Prepare presentations, accurate estimates, quality proposals, and fee estimates in collaboration with technical and marketing teams.
• Engage in market organizations and conferences to enhance brand awareness and generate business opportunities.
• Travel to meet clients and prospective clients, including networking during dinners and outings.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Proven proficiency in all duties and responsibilities of an account manager.
• A demonstrated track record of achieving a minimum of $10M in sales per year.
• Familiarity with facility systems, large project sales processes, and funding alternatives.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, and estimates.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to explain technical products.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the technical products being sold.
• Outstanding sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven capability to maintain and develop relationships with clients.
• Ability to effectively present information and address questions from clients.
• Knowledge and experience in the ESCO (Energy Services) industry.
• Experience with the Educational market (K-12 & Higher) and Municipal sectors.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and/or related software.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• A considerable amount of local travel (up to 50%) by car and some national travel by airplane is necessary.
