Sales Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and expand a strategic global EMS/ODM account in the Austin, Texas region.

• Foster relationships at all levels within the customer organization.

• Generate demand for new designs while driving revenue and margin enhancement.

• Represent connector and interconnect solutions for data center infrastructure and other rapidly growing technology applications.

• Collaborate with engineers to identify new design opportunities.

• Influence product development from concept through to production.

• Enhance existing business and consistently broaden the pipeline of new opportunities.

• Deliver customer value through exceptional service, technical support, quality products, and innovative solutions.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

• Monitor and support global design opportunities as programs transition across regions and manufacturing sites.

• Maintain account strategies, opportunity pipelines, and customer data in Salesforce.

• Travel approximately 20–25% to strengthen customer connections and facilitate growth.

• Continuously enhance technical knowledge across Molex’s connector and interconnect offerings.

• Cultivate trusted customer relationships and transform design opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.

• Elevate Molex’s status as a preferred technology and development partner.

• Drive profitable growth and shared value for both Molex and the customer.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in account management, technical sales, business development, or sales engineering within the electronics, connector, or interconnect sector.

• Proven success in generating demand, securing new business, and fostering growth through design opportunities.

• Experience in selling connector, interconnect, cable assembly, or similar electronic component solutions.

• Ability to comprehend customer applications and align technical solutions with business requirements.

• Experience in building relationships across engineering, procurement, supply chain, and commercial functions.

• Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM systems for managing opportunities and pipelines.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20–25% of the time.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa assistance.

• Must independently reside within commuting distance of the workplace or relocate at one's own expense.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in supporting EMS, ODM, server, storage, networking, cloud infrastructure, or data center clients.

• Industry experience in Data Communications, Gaming, Industrial, or Aerospace & Defense sectors.

• Established relationships within the Dallas-Fort Worth or Austin electronics ecosystem.

• Proven ability to win competitive designs and displace existing suppliers.

• Experience managing globally complex accounts and facilitating international demand transfers.

• Ability to identify emerging customer needs and convert them into strategic growth opportunities.

• Familiarity with high-speed connectivity, power, connectors, cable assemblies, or interconnect technologies.

• Capability to confidently engage in technical discussions with customer engineering teams.
