This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Oversee the implementation of the organization’s comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensure that worksites throughout the Company adhere to OSHA, DOT, and relevant state, local, and industry-specific regulations.
• Provide training on OSHA-compliant safety and health practices, accident prevention, and accident investigation for managers and supervisors.
• Carry out regular inspections of worksites to guarantee safe and healthy working environments.
• Suggest suitable mitigation strategies to management for addressing identified hazards.
• Examine accidents, pinpoint root causes, and establish preventive measures.
• Maintain records of site accidents and generate reports for regulatory agencies, insurance representatives, and senior management.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to evaluate safety and developmental needs as well as program effectiveness.
• Assess safety and risk management performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform additional responsibilities that align with the company’s mission, brand values, and organizational ethics.
• An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, with a focus on Occupational Safety and Health is required.
• Experience comparable to an Associate's degree may be accepted in place of the educational requirement.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or training is required.
• Familiarity with technical safety methods as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) at the Associate Safety Professional designation level is mandatory.
• Experience in managing and implementing safety programs within the cable telecommunications, commercial driving, or construction sectors is necessary.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capacity to handle multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all management levels.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with presentation capabilities.
• Willingness to work irregular schedules, including weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts as per business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in developing, delivering, demonstrating, and evaluating Safety Skills is essential.
• Familiarity with adult learning methodologies and the ability to instruct classes in both in-person and online formats.
• Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP) Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
