Safety Coordinator – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute the initiatives of the Construction Safety Coordination Program.

• Supervise project activities by reviewing the construction management team, along with design procedures, programs, and policies that impact construction safety on projects.

• Create and implement safety metrics for monitoring and reporting the safety performance of both self-perform work and subcontractors.

• Assist with the Mullins Safety Analysis (MSA), Site Safety Work Plans, and Public Hazard Analysis.

• Perform site safety inspections and coordinate necessary corrections with employees and contractors.

• Review and manage procedures for investigating construction-related incidents and accidents.

• Conduct site-specific orientation processes for a multilingual workforce.

• Participate in daily and weekly coordination and scheduling meetings to gain insight into jobsite phases and safety risks.

• Provide overall safety oversight through administrative duties and field safety coordination responsibilities.

• Support Mullins Mechanical’s specialty contracting projects that involve design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, fire protection, and metal fabrication.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction safety coordination is required.

• Experience in safety coordination on large industrial projects ($10 million or more is preferred).

• Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to project site locations.

• OSHA 30-hour (1926 Construction) certification is required.

• Current First Aid / CPR certification is required.

• A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a safety-related field is preferred.

• OSHA 510 certification is preferred.

• OSHA 500 Authorized Instructor status is preferred.

• A general understanding of ProCore is preferred.

• Proficient computer skills (Revu, Adobe, Word, Excel) are necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with executive-level owners and clients in a high-pressure environment.
