Safeguarding Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Coach and mentor educators in various settings to integrate best practices for safeguarding.

• Conduct visits to centers throughout Victoria to observe practices, identify potential risks, and offer immediate, actionable feedback.

• Facilitate face-to-face training sessions to enhance knowledge, confidence, and adherence to safeguarding protocols.

• Assist services during transitions to ensure that child safety standards and processes are uniformly implemented.

• Collaborate with service leaders and operational teams to promote ongoing improvement.

• Maintain a dedicated focus on child safety.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Safeguarding Trainer.

• A genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and high-quality practice.

• Strong background in early childhood education, preferably in safeguarding, compliance, quality, or training.

• Proficient coaching and mentoring skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to identify risks while suggesting practical enhancements.

• Willingness to travel frequently across various Victorian services.

• Successful completion of thorough pre-employment checks, including WWCC, ID verification, qualifications, Gecko Training, work rights, and references.

• Completion of child safety training.
