This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +10 more states.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders pertinent to rural healthcare, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and various governmental entities.
• Visit client sites and attend relevant events to gain insight into community requirements.
• Collaborate with the RHRC team to identify resources for development or allocation based on regional insights.
• Acquire knowledge of CMS Rural Emergency Hospital Conditions of Participation and other hospital licensing standards.
• Assist in the creation of educational materials and resources.
• Build relationships with stakeholder leadership while facilitating communications with governance, communities, and other relevant parties.
• Inform stakeholders, communities, state rural health offices, and other entities about RHRC services and programs.
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and RHRC to determine technical assistance needs.
• Work alongside Program Directors and project teams to deliver technical assistance.
• Supervise technical assistance initiatives within the region.
• Participate in virtual meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify potential regional partners and service providers.
• Represent RHRC in the designated region at pertinent events, including managing exhibit booths, attending sessions, and giving public presentations.
• Forge connections with State Offices of Rural Health and Flex coordinators.
• Provide insights regarding regional technical assistance and resource requirements.
• Attend virtual meetings with the RHRC team.
• Assist in the implementation of RHRC program activities as necessary.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• Report directly to the Regional Liaison Supervisor.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a healthcare leader at the Director level or higher.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare; familiarity with rural health issues and the distinct financial and operational challenges faced by rural hospitals is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of hospital operations, encompassing financial statements, regulatory requirements, and strategic opportunities.
• General awareness of CMS Conditions of Participation for hospital licensure (CAH, PPS, REH, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented; capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of innovative healthcare solutions.
• Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly.
• Demonstrated capacity to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in a remote work setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have a reliable internet connection.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Travel to client sites and relevant events.
• Position allows for remote work.
• Full-time, exempt position with a 37.5-hour workweek.
