This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee sales initiatives and the achievement of sales targets for the VELYS Digital Surgery Product Portfolio within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement a detailed business strategy to meet or surpass VELYS sales objectives.
• Manage capital sales processes, financing options, capital pipeline management, deal closure, and sales forecasting.
• Broaden the customer base and strengthen relationships with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with strategic customer groups, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), large Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Academic Institutions, and the Joint Reconstruction Field Sales Team.
• Facilitate training for sales consultants and organize physician engagement sessions, including dinner programs, case observations, and online training opportunities.
• Partner with HCC, Legal, Deal Desk, and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliant deal proposals are developed.
• Support the VELYS Customer Experience Team and Field Sales Organization with customer engagements and equipment logistics.
• Coordinate the launch schedule for VELYS Robotic Assisted Surgery and VELYS Hips Navigation systems.
• Work alongside marketing, professional education, and commercial education teams to enhance sales and product utilization.
• Lead the VELYS branding and messaging efforts within the sales territory.
• Establish credibility and influence with surgeons and administrative clientele.
• Report directly to the VELYS Digital Surgery Senior Sales Manager for the region.
• A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device sales is essential.
• Required experience in joint reconstructive surgery, particularly in hips, knees, and shoulders.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% is necessary.
• A valid driver’s license in one of the 50 states is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience in capital sales is preferred.
• A proven track record of consistent successful sales achievements in prior roles is highly preferred.
• Experience in software/digital sales is strongly favored.
• Experience in C-Suite and conceptual selling is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with disruptive medical technology sales is preferred.
• Previous experience in total joint reconstruction is strongly preferred.
• Capability to learn and understand Total Knee Arthroplasty and Total Hip Arthroplasty anatomy and procedures.
• Ability to operate independently and manage a continuous capital pipeline effectively.
• Experience working within a matrix organizational structure is necessary.
