This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Implement new robotic systems at client locations, which includes installation, commissioning, validation, and handoff to the customer.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on autonomous robotic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and modifications in the field.
• Assist customers in ramping up and achieving operational readiness after deployment.
• Collaborate directly with customers to optimize uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Record failures, gather field data, and aid in root cause analysis.
• Work closely with the Engineering team to enhance product reliability and ease of service.
• Contribute to the creation of maintenance procedures, service standards, troubleshooting manuals, and best practices.
• Assist in product validation, pilot launches, and introductions of new products.
• Travel across the United States for deployments, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and urgent service calls.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical skills and effective hands-on problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to identify issues related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls.
• Experience with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, conveyors, robotics, industrial automation, CNC machinery, AGVs, AMRs, or comparable systems.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic instruments.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in addressing challenges.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently.
• Approximately 75% travel across the United States.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Technology, programming, or computer science is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience in robotics or automation is a plus.
• Background in field service is a plus.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
• Experience with networking or Linux is a plus.
• Knowledge of ROS is a plus.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus.
• A military technical background is a plus.
• Skills in fabrication, machining, welding, or 3D printing are a plus.
