This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist in proactive business development within the Consumer Industries sector, encompassing warehousing, logistics, and consumer packaged goods environments.
• Increase ABB’s presence in small to medium enterprises as well as large manufacturers.
• Implement a strategic go-to-market approach to enhance ABB’s pipeline and turn opportunities into sales.
• Identify and engage prospective end users, system integrators, machine builders, and channel partners.
• Advocate for ABB’s collaborative robot portfolio in both industrial and consumer electronics domains.
• Collaborate with robotics channel partners and territory sales teams to develop and qualify opportunities.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions and showcase product demonstrations.
• Partner with the marketing team on targeted campaigns, regional events, and webinars.
• Represent ABB at industry trade shows, expos, and automation events.
• Convey voice-of-customer insights to global product management and engineering teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in robotics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Business, or a related field, accompanied by 8+ years of experience in sales or business development within industrial automation, robotics, or collaborative robotics; or a different combination of degree and experience, such as an Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in manufacturing and production environments within the Electronics Industries.
• Proficiency in utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage a sales pipeline.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S., with a focus on the designated territory.
• Strong understanding of robotic applications utilized in the Electronics Industry (assembly, picking, packing, palletizing, mobile robotics) is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with the capability to communicate value-based selling strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences is desirable.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the U.S.
