This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Take full responsibility for the commissioning of standard systems that incorporate robots, laboratory instruments, and CellarioScheduler.
• Adjust and troubleshoot workflows within CellarioScheduler while resolving integration issues related to the scheduler, robots, and third-party instruments.
• Validate hardware, software, and integration outputs against established acceptance criteria.
• Commission intricate systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
• Configure and troubleshoot automation hardware and integrated devices using firmware operations and device-level diagnostics.
• Analyze, integrate, and debug C# and Python programming code.
• Set up relational databases utilizing SQL.
• Configure and operate SCARA and articulated robotic arms.
• Contribute to the deployment of multi-system setups.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Train customer teams on the operation of hardware and software applications.
• Manage customer relationships and address any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, technical matters, and any obstacles to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Share insights regarding tools, platforms, and processes with team members.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree with 4+ years; or a Master's degree with 1+ year.
• Practical experience in deploying, configuring, or supporting laboratory automation or industrial robotics systems.
• Familiarity with laboratory automation scheduling software such as CellarioScheduler, Green Button Go, Momentum, Overlord, or similar tools.
• Proficient in code interpretation and software principles, including object-oriented programming (C# or equivalent).
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and configuring both hardware and software.
• Willingness to travel up to and occasionally beyond 40% annually, both domestically and internationally.
• A valid driver's license and passport are required.
• Reliable personal transportation for regional travel.
• Comfortable working in laboratory and technical settings.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Preferred: experience in laboratory instrumentation integration.
• Preferred: familiarity with SCARA or articulated robotic arms.
• Preferred: experience in SQL and relational database configuration.
• Preferred: experience in Python scripting.
• Preferred: knowledge of networking concepts and components.
• Preferred: experience in firmware-level device configuration and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Preferred: exposure to complex or multi-system automation environments.
• Preferred: experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Preferred: strong organizational and project management skills.
