This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and sustain network automation solutions utilizing Cisco CNC, Cisco NSO, Nokia NSP, Python, APIs, and associated technologies.
• Automate network configuration, validation, monitoring, compliance, remediation, and upkeep across a multi-vendor infrastructure.
• Establish automated pre-checks and post-checks to confirm routing, interfaces, adjacencies, reachability, and overall network health.
• Identify and rectify configuration drift, device synchronization problems, and non-compliance with network engineering standards.
• Integrate automation platforms with inventory, telemetry, monitoring, alerting, ticketing, and source-of-truth systems.
• Develop telemetry-driven and closed-loop automation to detect network issues and facilitate automated remediation.
• Diagnose automation failures, controller problems, API integrations, and device-level issues; conduct root-cause analysis.
• Recognize repetitive manual processes and recurring failure patterns that can be minimized through automation.
• Uphold safe automation practices through testing, CI/CD, version control, rollback mechanisms, change validation, and blast-radius controls.
• Generate operational tools, dashboards, documentation, and runbooks that enhance network visibility, troubleshooting, compliance, and engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to standardize operational practices and decrease manual intervention.
• Basic knowledge of service provider networking, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, SNMP, and network telemetry.
• Professional experience in supporting or engineering large-scale service provider networks.
• Familiarity with network automation and orchestration platforms such as Cisco CNC, Cisco NSO, Nokia NSP, or comparable technologies.
• Proficient Python scripting abilities for network automation, tooling, and API integrations.
• Experience with REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, YANG, or other network programmability technologies.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and troubleshooting network automation platforms and integrations.
• Experience with network monitoring, telemetry, configuration validation, and operational troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD, testing, and software development practices for maintaining production network automation.
• Associate’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least three (3) years of experience in software engineering, network engineering, or network automation support roles.
