Road Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Ensure that all fleet operations comply with company and governmental or regulatory standards.

• Supervise vehicle aesthetics and assist in maintaining efficient mechanical operations.

• Oversee investigations related to accidents and injuries.

• Monitor passenger feedback and complaints, particularly concerning safety.

• Supervise drivers’ punctuality, driving habits, and adherence to safety protocols.

• Support Management/Operations with driver coaching and training initiatives.

• Participate in driver and employee meetings as well as assigned training sessions.

• Manage fleet maintenance tasks, including vehicle registration, emissions checks, preventive maintenance, and driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).

• Coordinate the collection of data and photographs at accident and incident sites.

• Investigate and assist in determining accident causes and conducting road observations.

• Provide assistance to drivers with inquiries, customer service, and on-road support.

• Execute emergency roadside repairs, including tire changes, battery jump starts, and lockout services.

• Assist Dispatch/Operations in resolving information requests and complaints.

• Generate reports assessing route and schedule efficiency.

• Support workforce management, including handling time off requests, backfilling positions, and managing call-offs.

• Carry out dispatching duties, office and vehicle cleaning, and maintenance of the storage yard.

• Perform any other assigned or necessary duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

• Applicants must be 25 years of age or older.

• A valid Arizona Driver's license is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years driving experience is necessary.

• No pending legal charges are allowed.

• No felony convictions in the past 7 years.

• No DUI/DWI offenses in the last 5 years.

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and a motor vehicle record investigation.

• Candidates over the age of 65 must pass a DOT physical, including a pre-employment drug screening.

• Valid authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Preferred thorough knowledge of accident investigation processes.

• Familiarity with safety training practices and procedures is advantageous.

• Ability to communicate effectively, teach, and mentor employees is essential.

• Must demonstrate skills in conflict resolution.

• Quick to process information, adapt, and make recommendations as needed.

• Proficiency in using computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.

• Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

• Familiarity with DOT/FTA Drug & Alcohol testing protocols (post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and random testing) is preferred.
