RN Area Nurse Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist the District Director of Clinical Services (DDCS) in overseeing healthcare operations within assigned communities in a designated district.

• Ensure that the healthcare needs of residents are fulfilled in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Brookdale standards.

• Travel weekly across the district to various assigned communities.

• Assume the HWD role when an HWD is on leave, on extended vacation, or when the position is unfilled.

• Offer clinical support and advice for communities experiencing regulatory deficiencies.

• Conduct audits of community clinical compliance and collaborate with leaders to create and execute action plans.

• Carry out root cause analysis and provide hands-on support for clinical outcomes and critical compliance areas.

• Lead clinical initiatives and conduct training rollouts for districts and individual communities.

• Coordinate and sign resident assessments in certain states.

• Manage RN delegations for medications and care in accordance with state regulations.

• Participate in division, district, and community meetings.

• Train, coach, and mentor clinical leaders and frontline staff.

• Facilitate training and competency evaluations for Med Tech/QMAP/Medication Aides.

• Assist the DDCS with clinical Quality Assurance site visits.

• Provide SWOT assessments and regular updates to the DDCS.

• Support clinical investigations and may engage in disciplinary actions.

• Assist the DDCS with special projects.

• Offer district clinical support in the absence of the DDCS.

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in line with Brookdale policies and regulatory requirements.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Clinical Systems.

• Implement the nursing process in accordance with state nursing regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in nursing, health education, or a related field, or a Diploma RN.

• Two or more years of direct nursing experience with elderly patients.

• Current RN license issued by the relevant state licensing agency.

• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business use.

• Basic typing proficiency.

• Familiarity with personal computing and word processing software, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment.

• Ability to read and interpret documents accurately.

• Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to effectively communicate before groups of clients or company associates.

• Proficient in English, with the ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.

• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Availability for occasional weekend, evening, or night shifts as necessary to ensure coverage.

• On-call availability as needed.
