Risk Management Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Acquire skills to perform responsibilities in Risk Management with general oversight.

• Assist in risk management initiatives concerning risk evaluations and methodologies.

• Execute non-financial risk evaluations and assessments.

• Aid in activities related to GRC software.

• Manage large datasets across various systems.

• Transform data into actionable insights.

• Frequently collaborate with different departments within the credit union.

• Internship commences in Spring 2027.

• Staggered starting dates are January 26, 2027, and January 27, 2027.

• Orientation for new hires is scheduled for January 29, 2027.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or Risk Management at the University of South Florida, University of Tampa, or University of South Carolina.

• Preferred completion of a risk management course.

• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.

• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with credit union staff.

• Capability to work independently.

• Ability to acquire complex skills or software with minimal guidance.

• Must be able to sit for prolonged durations.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and typing in English.

• Must be able to hear and utilize a telephone.

• Competence in using a computer that requires repetitive keystrokes.

• Must be willing and able to collaborate via video on Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx.

• Standard business hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

• Work schedule will not exceed 29 hours weekly.

• Must reside in one of the following states for remote positions: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

• Must not hold F-1 or J-1 status; employer will not provide sponsorship for work visas.
