This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the execution of the strategic plan concerning risk assumption, risk transfer, and loss prevention efforts related to both physician and non-clinical risks.
• Engage in the collection of underwriting data for captive, reinsurance, physician, commercial insurance policy renewals, and bonds.
• Preserve underwriting information for historical reference.
• Support risk assessment and the onboarding process for physicians into the captive.
• Maintain databases that encompass insured entities, properties, vehicles, drivers, and physicians within the risk management information system.
• Oversee insurance schedules, policies, premiums, and policy summaries.
• Aid in physician credentialing and manage loss history requests.
• Evaluate risks and execute loss prevention strategies, including educational initiatives, for both clinical and non-clinical policies.
• Assist with compliance matters related to patient compensation funds and various special state funds.
• Process and monitor invoices, premium payments, and premium returns.
• Coordinate certificate requests with facilities, practice managers, real estate, finance, human resources, and other internal departments.
• Participate in special projects and provide assistance as required.
• Keep Administrative and Clinical Leaders and Market/System Risk updated on significant events and risk management initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Risk Management, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
• CPHRM certification is necessary within four years of hire.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related area, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience in place of a degree.
• Preferred certifications include CPCU, ARM, or similar designations.
• Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of experience in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
