This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Act as the primary representative for crop insurance policies, encompassing Hail Policies and Supplemental Insurance Products.
• Market and sell MPCI, Margin Protection, Crop Hail, PRF, Livestock, and Supplemental insurance products.
• Discuss insurance alternatives and assist clients in making informed risk management choices.
• Prepare and deliver quotes for Livestock and other relevant insurance products.
• Create and implement personalized marketing strategies.
• Cross-sell various products and services while cultivating a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct both individual and joint sales meetings and draft proposals.
• Provide sales presentations and offer product and sales expertise.
• Represent the Associations at industry and agricultural gatherings.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and representatives from insurance companies.
• Address policy issues, comprehend product offerings, and make decisions regarding business placements.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating insurance campaigns and strategies.
• Process insurance forms and applications for various insurance vendors.
• Verify underwriting and actuarial calculations and manage policy modifications.
• Gather acreage and production reporting data utilizing precision farming technology.
• Report claims for the designated portfolio.
• Collaborate with the Insurance Specialist as necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Finance, or Business is preferred.
• Experience in an agriculture-related sector with a focus on sales and service.
• Proven experience in relationship management and/or sales.
• Background in servicing a large and complex book of business.
• Demonstrated success in expanding a book of business.
• Preferred experience as a licensed crop insurance agent or insurance company representative with sales duties.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% for the position.
• Capability to work 50% or more remotely or in collaboration with producers in the field.
• Proficiency in selling and servicing MPCI, MP, Crop Hail, PRF, Livestock, and Supplemental insurance products.
• Ability to process insurance forms, analyze and enter applications online, verify underwriting and actuarial calculations, and implement policy changes.
• Skill in collecting acreage data and reporting claims.
• Competence in using AIP systems and precision farming data.
