This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the strategic initiatives for risk assumption, risk transfer, and loss prevention activities concerning both physician and non-clinical risks.
• Gather underwriting information for captive, reinsurance, physician, commercial insurance policy renewals, and bonds.
• Maintain historical underwriting data and databases for insured entities, properties, vehicles, drivers, and physicians.
• Oversee insurance schedules, policies, premiums, and summaries of policies.
• Assist with the evaluation of risks and facilitate the onboarding of physicians into the captive.
• Aid in physician credentialing and requests for loss history.
• Analyze risks and implement both clinical and non-clinical loss prevention strategies, including educational initiatives.
• Assist with compliance related to patient compensation funds and other specific state funds.
• Process and monitor invoices, premium payments, and premium returns.
• Manage requests for certificates in collaboration with facilities, practice managers, real estate, finance, human resources, and other internal departments.
• Keep administrative, clinical, market, and system leaders updated on significant events and risk management activities.
• Participate in special projects and provide assistance as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Healthcare, Business, or a related discipline.
• CPHRM certification is required within four years of hire.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field, or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field.
• Preferred certifications include CPCU, ARM, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills in data analysis and risk assessment.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Experience with data entry and electronic file management.
• Capability to submit payments and credits for processing.
• Ability to assist with loss prevention initiatives.
• Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
