This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Assist in the strategic planning related to risk assumption, transfer, and activities for loss prevention concerning both physician and non-clinical risks.
• Engage in the collection of underwriting information for captive, reinsurance, physician, commercial insurance policy renewals, and bonds.
• Preserve historical underwriting data for reference and analysis.
• Support risk evaluation processes and the onboarding of physicians into the captive.
• Manage databases for insured entities, properties, vehicles, drivers, physicians, and pertinent information within the risk management information system.
• Oversee insurance schedules, policies, premiums, and summaries of policies.
• Assist with physician credentialing and requests for loss history.
• Conduct risk analysis and implement loss prevention activities, including educational initiatives for both clinical and non-clinical policies.
• Aid in compliance with patient compensation funds and other specific state funds.
• Process and monitor invoices, premium payments, and returns of premiums.
• Coordinate certificate requests with facilities, practice managers, real estate, finance, human resources, and various internal departments.
• Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
• Keep Administrative and Clinical Leaders and Market/System Risk updated on significant events and risk management activities.
• A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a major in Risk Management, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
• CPHRM certification is required within four years of hiring.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience in place of a degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong planning capabilities.
