This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Provide support for the strategic initiatives related to risk assumption, risk transfer, and loss prevention concerning both physician and non-clinical risks.
• Gather underwriting details and uphold historical records for captive, reinsurance, physician, commercial insurance policy renewals, and bonds.
• Aid in risk assessment and the onboarding process for physicians into the captive.
• Manage databases containing information about insured entities, properties, vehicles, drivers, physicians, and related data within the risk management information system.
• Oversee insurance schedules, policies, premiums, and policy summaries.
• Assist with physician credentialing and the collection of loss history requests.
• Evaluate risks and implement loss prevention strategies, including educational initiatives, for both clinical and non-clinical policies.
• Support compliance with patient compensation funds and other specialized state funds.
• Process and monitor invoices, premium payments, and premium returns.
• Coordinate certificate requests with facilities, practice managers, real estate, finance, human resources, and various internal departments.
• Keep Administrative and Clinical Leaders and Market/System Risk informed about significant events and risk management activities.
• Engage in special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Healthcare, Business, or a related field (Required).
• CPHRM certification to be obtained within 4 years of hire (Required).
• Minimum of 3 years in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience equivalent to a degree (Required).
• Over 5 years in healthcare provision or administration, insurance, loss prevention, or a related field (Preferred).
• CPCU, ARM, or similar certifications are preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills in data analysis, planning, organization, data entry, electronic file management, risk analysis, payment and credit processing, loss prevention support, and data collection.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, dependability, flexibility, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
