This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily operations of a specific tax or revenue unit, which may include income tax, motor vehicle services, sales/use tax, collections, or child support services.
• Direct and manage a team of Revenue Specialists, Coordinators, and administrative staff; assign responsibilities, evaluate performance, and conduct assessments.
• Ensure adherence to Arkansas tax or child support laws, regulations, administrative rules, and internal policies.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the division or section, offering technical guidance on policy or regulatory updates.
• Track performance metrics, quality assurance standards, and workflow efficiencies.
• Identify and implement enhancements to operational processes.
• Address complex or escalated taxpayer and customer service issues, including disputes, exemptions, compliance notifications, and payment inconsistencies.
• Prepare and evaluate financial reports, audits, reconciliations, and operational summaries.
• Safeguard data privacy, security, and integrity when managing taxpayer records and confidential personal and financial information.
• Non-supervisory roles may also function as senior technical expert positions.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, social work, or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory or leadership role; OR a high school diploma plus four years of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support, with two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Arkansas tax codes, policies, child support laws and regulations, or DFA procedures pertinent to the assigned program area.
• Capability to analyze complex tax or child support case issues, interpret regulations, and make informed decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• High degree of accuracy and integrity while processing financial data and handling confidential information.
• Possession of a valid Arkansas driver's license.
• Submission of a complete application with a thorough work history and references.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. verified through E-Verify.
• Travel using an Arkansas State vehicle.
• Consideration for Veteran Preference upon submission of a DD-214.
