Revenue Recovery Specialist – MVA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage and resolve motor vehicle and health insurance claims pertaining to facility and physician invoices.

• Oversee a portfolio of accounts within a collaborative team atmosphere.

• Address new and priority accounts in accordance with client guidelines, including conducting coverage investigations.

• Handle aged and high-value accounts to facilitate prompt recovery.

• Evaluate accounts that require detailed analysis alongside coding and utilization departments.

• Identify and manage accounts with multiple payers, inclusive of PIP, health insurance, and third-party liability.

• Prepare and submit appeals along with necessary documentation.

• Maintain clear, concise, and thorough notes on account resolutions.

• Engage professionally with payer representatives, patients, and attorneys through both inbound and outbound communications.

• Acquire and apply client-specific protocols and procedures.

• Recognize recent trends in payer resolutions and share insights with colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in MVA claims and health claims is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in collecting hospital claims from insurance providers.

• Experience in reviewing EOBs for reasons related to payment or denial.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.

• Experience with EPIC is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Proficient use of web-based client and payer portals, as well as notation databases.

• Professional communication skills with auto payers, health payers, patients, and attorneys.

• Must present a valid government-issued photo ID during screening and/or interviews.

• Preference will be given to applicants from AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, NM, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, and WV.
